Grass-roots players are developing their social skills with everything they do and the more we expose our children to extra-curricular activities, the more opportunity they have to develop interpersonal skills. Like 1:1 sessions, training in groups builds confidence, the personal skills they develop when socialising, particularly with groups of children they are not familiar with helps them both on and off the pitch! We call that a win-win.
Children's football is all about experience. The more they play, the faster they develop the technical ability and become skilful later in life. It's through experience that players at this level excel. group sessions offer valuable experience in realistic game-play that 1:1 training can't easily offer.
Regardless of their ability, players aren't recognised as skilful until their teens, so Goal Stars isn't about Rainbow Flicks or scoring in the Top Bins! it's about finesse, getting the basics right, consistently, because we know that's what makes a great football player.
Our children are our world and naturally as parents, we want our kids to grow strong an meaningful friendships. Sport in general offers great opportunities to meet new people and our group training sessions are based on ability, not age. So friendships form with kids outside of the normal friendship circles, such as School and the local grass-roots club.
